Lime Jello Mold

This Lime Jello salad seemed to pop up at Christmas and Easter dinners at my house. It was a dessert and a side dish all at the same time! It is a very simple recipe, but I still did not manage to nail it absolutely perfectly. Mine was a little runny. I managed to find Bubba’s Jello mold and use it. I remember Bubba’s Jello salad being very defined and firm. The star on the top of Bubba’s was always perfect. Mine, not so much. A tasty side dish.

Lime Jello Mold

2 Packs of Lime Jello.

3 Cups boiling water.

1/2 pint (1 cup) of sour cream.

1 can of crushed pineapple.

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  1. Prepare the Jello by mixing with boiling water. Let it cool until syrupy.
  2. Beat a 1/2 cup of sour cream.
  3. Fold the sour cream into the Jello (once it is syrupy).
  4. Add 1 can of crushed pineapple with juice.
  5. Add 1/2 cup walnuts
  6. Pour into a mold (or bowl) and let chill until set.
